About Us
Covington Township is one of the oldest in the county. Its original territory comprised what is now the townships of Richmond, Sullivan, Ward, Union, Liberty and Bloss, and Fall Brook, & Blossburg Burroughs. It was formed from Tioga, Feb. 15, 1815.
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,022 people, 402 households, and 297 families residing in the township.
The township has a total area of 36.3 square miles and completely surrounds Putnam Township.

Meetings
Covington Township Supervisors: meet the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. The Organizational meeting will be held the first Monday in the month of January.
Covington Township Planning Commission: meets the third Thursday of the month at 7:00PM.
Covington Township Zoning Hearing Board: meets on a need be basis.
Water Authority: meets the second Thursday of the month at 6:00PM.

Covington Township Meeting Room

If you are looking for a small place to hold a little get-to-gether, Covington Township allows our residents to rent out the meeting room.
To use the large meeting room, your organization must abide by the following rules.

- Meeting room is available for residents or Township meetings only.
- Advance notice of meeting room request is required.
- $50 deposit is required, returnable upon clean-up.
- Tables and chairs must be left in an orderly position.
- Dust mop floor prior to leaving.
- Turn off all lights. (be sure all light switches are pulled down or off)
- Check to make sure rest room lights are off.
- Remove all garbage.
- Notify Township secretary when the room is being vacated, if not during office hours.
- Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited.
- Notify staff of any problems or concerns. If emergency call 911 immediately.
